The Fisher Wound

See the dissonance

A cloud on the horizon

The difference between

Where and are?

How strangers got gifts you

Wait for

But you pulled the thorn

From your midsection

The Fisher wound

Or weep with the release

How you face demons in private

Learning to see how much you are

Each time you look

And they see

Even if they’re too exhausted

To raise more than a smile

Let your libido snarl

and spit

At the place whereWe don’t care to look and see

The shadows cast by unmet light

And the fierce flame of unexpressed

Feeling

You look at the gentle kick

of

Afternoon

 and the day’s kiss goodbye

Giving as much as soul allows

Save the questions for stronger times

Then this

Close, oh close

Fisher wound

The light comes in there

Stronger beneath the dutiful kiss
