light for a time

walking barefoot and quiet

with the weight borne

and sometimes the strain

Made me lose my way

But sooner or later

The right path comes back

And the fortune of it

Lends a strength

I thought misplaced

There’s a chill in the air

But this morning,

You wrapped your arms

Around me and

Despite the hour

I felt light

For a time.
