Impossible Things

My arms

Could be a villa

In Crete

Safe in shadows

Thick as velvet

Skins hungry for

One another

And wrapped up in

One another

Kissing like we’re drawing

Breath from one another

All the smallest things

An adventure

Let’s take over the world

Make it a playground

You sit there

Kitten meows

Porcine squeals

Feet in my hands

And as the day fades

New things

Our own private lexicon

Of jokes and rituals

Mostly,between cups of tea

To fill an ocean

You make me revisit

Things thought impossible

To me

So, I’ve decided

Each moment to keep you

And we shall see

How far two people can

Take one another
