Midnight Library

Listening to the

Muted melodies you give

As I

Pull you close and you’re

Stroking my chest for

Comfort and in the dark

Listening to you breathe

The white noise of the fan

Sounds like the roar of waves

Sunlight on the ocean

Never as bright as your eyes

And I show over telling you

Within my actions

A library of feeling

Read them before time,

Fades the ink to shadows

And here too dark to read

Each kiss turns a page

Each sleep a chapter
