I’m here

To bear the weight

You buckle beneath

Sit in silence and let you

Figure you out

Because I’ve got scars

Soul and heart deep

All grown thick and silvered

So I’ve fucked up down and sideways

But it means I can get it

Without the need to

Seek praise for doing the

Right thing

And pay the price for

The same thing

Let me take care

Of you

I’m the long dark shadow

You can hide within
