Shadows on a trail of honey

I know my

Shadow,

It walks behind me,

Holding some truths

I’d fought to

Deny but there was

A period of negotiation,

So now, it sees you,

Growling with interest,

It guides my fingers,

To where they will

Inflict the most pleasure,

To enslave you,

A good, intense liberation,

The anxious exorcism

Of my control,

I use you,

In brute, subtle play,

Have you let go,

Full after too much

Emptiness,

And the gift of my release,

A quake which rattles the windows,

In the mansions of my mind,

My shadow knows you,

Is made light by its company,

And so we walk

Following the trail of honey,

To where you wait,

For me.
