I am wild
With abandon,
Consummate companion,
Weathering the storms
Of you with a smile,
Amused by the dichotomies,
As the perfume of you
Heightens my senses,
Stood apart,
In polite company,
I lean over and whisper
How I want to rip you apart,
Risking irritation,
For the truth of
My feral poet’s heart,
And in truth,
Your words are a point of view
Unsupported by the hungry light
In your eyes.
I know you enough,
Patient in my hunger,
Thinking of how you will
Shudder at my touch,
Not from horror
But the sweet release
I offer and take
