Genuine

Bounce me on

Your soul’s knee

Find the truth

Of me and its heritage,

These wounds I’ve earned,

Mined for

Precious metals,

Forged into armour,

Against the vicissitudinous

Wielding trust,

Look not at shadows,

Cast by distorted figures,

But who sits with you,

Test me higher,

I will rise or fall,

And you will know,

How I am
