Doubt and shadow

Things slip away

And I clench with a

Need to express

The fears I have

You’re inclined to

A beauty which terrifies me

With compulsion

But the clock is

Always ticking

But watching the shadows

Grow long and feeling

The cold more

Than I used to

Hold me,

Pretend awhile

And I’ll continue

My guts

In one hand

Wiping away

Tears with the other

They pass

Like everything

Like everyone
