Slip, Howl

Slip this skin

Seething with feeling

Bones cracking

Reforming like lava

Muscles swollen

with purpose

The blood flows

As the ache of change

Eclipsed by

Transformation

The beast I am

Beneath the waxing moon

And how you weaved

Silver between your words

To scald my advance

Yet it was you

Whose teeth broke

My skin and my blood

You taste on amnesiac

Mornings on your lips

But your kennel

Awaits

So leave me to the forest

I will howl my heart

To pieces
