Play of the light

I walk rough

Roads underneath

Chill, bleak skies

The waves churn

In ways I find soothing

Their roar

Speaks my language

Salted breath

Like tears mailed

As sentiments

And how your smile

Resembles the play of

The remaining light

In these broken

Beautiful moments

I lean into the wind

Pull the thought of you

Close and how we

Keep one another warm

  1. Yet another poignant offering from your pen. As beautiful as ever, but I wonder if the affect of her smile should in some way embarrass, rather than resemble the remaining light which you’ve told us comes from bleak skies.
I hope you don’t mind this observation.
