Couch

You inspire

Flights of lustful invention

Beds for sleeping

As we unwrap one another

Limbs knotted,

The core of us seething

With damp anticipation

The awkward tension

Has us laughing,

Until my fingers

My voice have their rough, charming impact

Upon you

Lifted and opened

My mouth at your ear

Then downwards

You make me fearless in my exploration

Thighs open, like pages in a favoured book

Tongue in drunken, careful circles

Kissing you in places only I know

Warm and wet like bathwater

With each smooth dart of my tongue

My lips sealing where you throb

How sweet you taste,

Alive like a long tall glass of life

Served with passions’ lightning

And how you would

Let go, handled

and made anew

In the afternoon

Your cries slice the air

And how you bunch up

Against me,

Safe in my acceptance,

The silent knowledge I have

Of the anatomy of your desire

Even a couch becomes

A playground

In these games we play

Kissing you in places

You will recall with heated blush

And afterwards, stroking my dark fur

Paralysed with bliss

You beckon me downwards

To kiss you there again
