Burned Manifesto

I would polish you

Until you shone

Take you to heights

Depths and all

That lies inbetween

I am a savage poet

A gentle warrior

Bear, wolf, mountain

I contain multitudes

Inviolate in the face

Of all that rages

Around us.

This is not a plea

But a manifesto

Burned into the walls

Of my heart

And it is a place

Not entered into lightly

But for you

Your smile,

Your voice unlocks

Every door.

Come in

What monsters are here,

Are pets begging for your

I am not a house

My little love,

But a home.
