Invisible

Were it not for mirrors

I would doubt

My own existence

For all the tumult

For all I offer up

Without expectation

Still

Alone

Invisible and

Here in my gentle quiet

Darkness

I write

I read

I feel

Over time I have come to look at your writing as the benchmark against which I measure my own, and as such I often feel unqualified to comment on your prolific output.
This piece has me quite rightly chastising myself for my silence.
So much said in so few words.
Thank you for reminding me that most writers are completed by their readers.

    • I spent a long time frightened of sucking at something I loved with a genuine passion. I realised that the cure for that was to keep doing it until I got competent enough to feel comfortable sharing it. I am touched that you like my work so much, Shaun.
