A Story House

I see you

All that you are

The hidden compartments

The secret passages

Where insecurities scream

Until they can only whisper

What a bad person you are

But you gave the key

And so I walk through

And I open the curtains

Let in the sunlight

Hold you even as you twist

And pull away from what

You want

This is a place

Where you can leave behind

The thoughts that keep leaving scars

You are not a mystery

To me, but a song,

A story

That demands new verses

I pick up my pen

And write out your name
